MJ and I spotted this article on the publishing industry, thought it was good reporting, knew we had a responsible reader community capable of discussing it professionally and politely, and therefore hit the post button. Disclosure: Neither of us write for Hatchette, but we do have a lovely cousin who works for them; and of course, MJs books are available on Amazon. Whether or not its a good idea to buy them there (or anywhere else, ha ha!) is up to you.
