Too cool. The companies you see listed in each state are the biggest money makers in those states and of course the biggest tax payer to that state. Look at Oklahoma. Ill be damned! The truck stop Loves! Thats insane! Travel Centers Of America, better known as TA is the biggest truck stop chain in America and became the biggest when they bought out the Petro truck stop chain back in 2007 but not for long. Loves has become number 2 a year ago and soon they will surpass the TA/Petro chain. They are predicted to be the biggest in about another year. They open anywhere from 12 to 16 new stores every year. Loves is growing rapidly. Theres not many big companies in Oklahoma so Loves dominates their home state but they have the most stores in Texas and second most in their home state of Oklahoma. Texas was the first state that they expanded out into and now they are in about every state. I remember when they were a very small chain and their stores were super small. It all started when the truck stop chain Pilot bought out the Flying J truck stop chain in 2009. At that time they became a monopoly because they would have a Pilot and a Flying J on the same exit, monopolizing corners in many states. Well the government made them get rid of quit a bit of them so Pilot chose to sell most of their older Pilots and some Flying Js they didnt want to Loves. Loves doubled their money within 2 months and thats when they started mass building all over. They were popping up out of the woods everywhere and still are to this day. Pilot is shooting their selves in the foot I bet now cause they are who Loves just passed up a year ago. They are the only major truck stop chain thats not a franchise. They are all still family owned. They are all controlled by the corporate office in Oklahoma City. Ive been a dedicated customer since I went to drive for Landstar in March of 2008. Way to go Loves!!!
