Too many people buying/getting puppies/kittens here and not realizing how much of a commitment it is to care for them.... Please know that you might qualify for SOME financial assistance via a coupon from the Humane Society of Uvalde so that you can have your cat or dog spayed or neutered... Having an animal is like having a child.... Theres food, shelter, dr visits, collars, city tags/permit, shots.... And on and on. And then they grow up and theres more food, etc... Or if you dont get them fixed there are puppies/kittens and it starts all very again. Please be responsible in your decision whether or not to get an animal and then if you do get one, dont just let it out on the streets or take it across town and leave it for someone else to take care of when you get tired of it.. Go talk to the animal control people and ask them how it feels to have to keep putting down stray animals.........no, Im not saying everyone does this but obviously some folks do because I see the end result of abandoned animals, run over animals, and then the animals that are at the Humane Society which come from animal control...
