Took Lillie for her post op check up .I was thinking , " it looks pretty darn good as it almust look normal except for the hole in her face cuz they had to take her stitches out 3 or 4 days after her surgery and it was so raw and bloody looking . When Dr. Melburn saw it he was rather shocked ! All the swelling has gone down and it looks almost normal ! He said it looks like normal tissue !!!!! That last week he was scared ! I know ! I said where do we go now . He wants to do another follow up next week , He said he will do the reconstuction of her face when we see how things go with this . Hell that is the least of my worries !!!!I said the most I am worried about is keeping her healthy and alive with ME !!!! So he took a small biopsy to be sure but the one he sent out from surgery came back clean . It was cancer but they got it all . So now he is hoping what happened is she scatched this so much and that she had irritation fom whaterver it is they use for stitches . She has always had staples and not stitches . So she is going back in next week for another follow up anyway . So he seemed alot more positive today than last week . Hopefully he is right . As he scared the kajeepers out of me last week ! He said he was very worried last week as well . But he is so much better about the changes today . So ... YIPPPEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
