Took a little impromptu road trip with my brother this past weekend and WOW what a powerful dose of nostalgia. 35 years ago my 3 brothers and my loving mother were on a psycho roller coaster in which we moved from one place to another and another. Seeing the playgrounds where I started little league, the lovely Catholic Church where our family attended mass and remembering when my brother mysteriously slipped into a coma, the trip left me angry and confused about why this adorable family was tossed around so carelessly. Im very grateful that my wife, jennifer, has given our family stability and that my children have one hometown that they can always call there own. - photos, FORT MADISON, IA, decades later.
