Took delivery of a nice little second hand 3/4 size Stagg - TopicsExpress

Took delivery of a nice little second hand 3/4 size Stagg beginners bass guitar today which I treated myself to in an ebay auction on my birthday a couple of weeks ago. :) Heres my initial plan... I cant play bass, and I havent got time to start learning it properly (as with anything I do musically!), so Ill treat it a bit like playing improv lead guitar on a normal 6 string guitar, with an alternate bass tuning to suit my awkwardness and lead guitar preference for the GBE strings, possibly EGBE (like a 6 string with the A and D strings removed and an octave lower). Hopefully I can swap between bass and normal guitar in an easier way (and with the 3/4 size the bass guitar isnt much different in size than a 2 octave electric guitar). It certainly sounds OK for what I need, and it sounds a lot better than me trying to get bass notes out of my normal guitar with a Behringer SuperOctaver pedal (although that pedal has its uses too for live looped one-man-band performances). Who knows, I might arrange and record some more multi-layered band sounding versions of my songs some time. Anyway, thats the initial plan... and Im sure I wont stick to it! ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-guitar-/151380356054?nma=true&si=onbH67InxELuDygu0R9dRWuH4B8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
