Took the F19 out for the first time last night and Ive gotta say Im very impressed, had the v-break set at 40 as all the tones above 40 I was interested in digging, found a clean metal free space to do the ground balance (quite straight forward) as it was the first time out with this machine and completely different to my Quattro I decided to try it in both settings discrim mode and all metal mode. For first time users the discrim mode is the best option. All metal mode I set the gain at the half way mark and all metal set at 2/3 for the slight hum. Off I went battling my way through hundreds of hindering thistles for the best part of an hr and half, I managed to find a few things, deepest being the lion at about 6 the better of the finds, but Mother Nature interfered and detecting was abruptly cut short. Overall I think Im gonna have a lot of fun with this machine in better weather conditions, oh! And minus the thistles. Happy Hunting :)
