Top 10 Pakistani Singers Ranking 2013 It’s hard to quantify the magnitude of popularity and talent but we have tried to highlight those Pakistani singers who are expected to take the world by a storm in 2013. Here we come up with the rankings of Pakistani singers in 2013. 1- Rahat Fateh Ali Khan The disciple and nephew of “Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan” one of the best Qawaali Singers from Pakistan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is keeping up the spirit of Sufi Music and Qawwali Music. He is one of the most wanted singers in Indian Film Industry “Bollywood” and a song to which he lends his voice instantly becomes a mega hit. His voice and singing style are widely appreciated and he is expected to make us more proud by representing Pakistani music industry on global scale. 2- Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan The music maestro is a member of Patiala Gharana the most acclaimed singing family in the subcontinent with a history of producing legends. Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan took the music industry by a storm when he was a part of famous Pakistani Band “Fuzon”. The guys at “Fuzon” came up with their first music video “Ankhon Ke Sagar” that instantly reached the heights of success and since than their popularity graph is steeping upwards. Various new singers idealize his music and singing style. Currently he is coming up with various Bollywood Movies playback singing projects and he is lending his voice to his own compositions. 3- Noori Band It’s really good news for Pakistani Rock Music lovers that the famous band from the first decade of 21st century “Noori” has reunited and recently released their third Album. The Band comprises of “Ali Noor” and “Ali Hamza” the two brothers as lead vocalists, Gumby on Drums and Muhammad Ali Jaffrey on Guitars. The Band was an inspiration for other popular singers during their early days like Atif Aslam, Noori and various others. The band has a large fans base both within Pakistan and in International countries as well. Nowadays, the band is busy doing concerts and promotional campaigns for multi national brands. Their recent project “Rock Your School with Fanta and Noori” is expected to be a massive hit in 2013. 4- Atif Aslam One of the most energetic and mesmerizing voices in the world, Atif Aslam has achieved so much fame and success at such a young age. The singer recently got married and his music is getting an overwhelming response as before. Atif kicked off the year with the victory in a famous singing reality show “Sur Kshetra” where he was the captain of Pakistani Team that outclassed Indians. Later on his voice featured in Bollywood Movies “Race 2” and “Jayantha Bhai ki Love Story” and the songs became an instant mega hit. He is busy in new playback singing projects, concerts all around the world and lets hope so he will keep us entertained in the coming days. 5- Falak Shabbir Nowadays the Pakistani Music Industry is out at elbow. During a days when Pakistani Music industry is going through its most difficult phases coming around with some cool melodies is not that easy but Falak Shabbir did that. Although Falak was already known among the masses but his song “Judai” released last year took him to heights of success. In the start of 2013 his songs featured in two Bollywood Indian Movies and his soothing voices helped those songs top the Indian Charts for weeks. He is coming up with some more good music. 6- Ali Zafar He is proficient in Acting, Singing, Hosting and Modeling. This Pakistani All Rounder gained massive success in 2003 when he released his first album “Channo” that met all the standards fore being called a masterpiece. Recently he is busy in acting as lead role for a couple of Bollywood Indian movies. He not only acts but lends his voice to the music and his first movie for 2013 “Chashme Badoor” received an overwhelming response on the box office thanks to his sharp skills and good looks he is expected to come up with more music. 7- Sajjad Ali Sajjad Ali has been serving Pakistani Music Industry for over three decades; he is one of the most trained and versatile pop music artists who maintain the fusion of eastern classical music and western singing style. He has given us too many mega hits and is expected to keep us entertained with some more original and heart touching melodies. 8- Strings This band has been existent for over 24 years, the band got popularity in 1993 with their single “Sar Kiye Yeh Pahaar” but the band was soon disbanded. In the year 2000, the band was reunited and they came up with some cool and engaging music that inspired the youth and since than the two members of the band Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kabadia have been in business producing some very good music. 9- Bilal Saeed Bilal Saeed is a famous singer and music director who has been in business for last couple of years. His debut single “12 Saal” topped the charts for a lot of time and is still widely played on music channels and parties. Bilal not only composes his own music but has also worked with several other artists composing songs and melodies for them. He came up with his latest album “Twelve” and is expected to get successful in days to come. 10- Ali Azmat Ali Azmat is the former lead vocalist of the band called “Junoon” that is acclaimed to be the finest rock band originating from Pakistan. His voice and superb singing style gains a healthy response from the public. When the prospects for musicians in Pakistan are bleaking many are making their way to neighboring countries and the same happened with Ali Azmat. Last year he lent his voice to the lead song of Indian Flick “Jism 2” that became a hit. Although Ali Azmat has decided not to sing for Bollywood movies in the future due to the biased behavior and animosity of Indians for Pakistani Artists denying them Visa without any sound excuses. Ali Azmat is expected to come up with some cool music in the coming days and hopefully Pakistani Music Industry recovers from the current phase of slump pretty soon. 10- Javed Bashir Javed Bashir kicked off his career as the lead vocalist of famous Pakistani Band called “Meekal Hassan Band” where his grip over singing eastern classical music on western beats was highly applauded. He gained personal exposure when he surprised everyone with his singing skills in Coke Studio Season 2 in 2009, afterwards he quit the band and now works as a solo artist. Last year his songs were featured in a couple of Indian Movies and this year he is expected to come up with something worthy. Jal Band The famous Pakistani Band gained heights of popularity when they released their first single “Aadat” that was the biggest hit in Pakistani Music Industry during the last decade. The band had a set back when the lead vocalist of the band Atif Aslam left the band and decided to pursue a career as solo artist. The band employed new vocalist Farhan Saeed that was good enough to add to the popularity of Jal Band but after his resignation the lead guitarist of the band decided to make the band self sufficient and now the two members of the band Gohar and Shazi are continuing with the band. Jal Band recently released their latest album “Dil Haari” in second quarter of 2013 and the vocalist of the band Gohar Mumtaz is busy in doing some acting projects for Pakistani Dramas. Mustafa Zahid The lead vocalist of the famous Pakistani Rock band Mustafa Zahid realized the bleak prospects for concerts and new music in Pakistan so decided to pursue a career as a playback singer in India. His voice has been featured in a few Bollywood Movies recently. His song in “Aashiqui 2” and “Murder 3” were widely appreciated and he has several other projects in the pipeline for coming days.
