Top LeT militant killed in Handwara Srinagar: Divisional Commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit got killed in an ongoing encounter at Handwara in north Kashmirs Kupwara district, Sunday morning. A senior defence official said that, acting on specific information about the presence of some militants at village Sudal area of Magam in Handwara, army’s 47 RR, 21 RR, 6 RR alongwith Special Operations Group (SOG) swung into action and soon cordoned-off the area. As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches, the militants hiding in the area opened fire on them. The fire was retaliated ensuing an enraging gunfight between forces and hiding militants.
