About 49 countries have a Muslim majority, although Africa is the only continent with a Muslim majority. Most of the worlds Muslim population lives in South Asia, particularly the countries of Indonesia, Pakistan, and India. Over 88 percent of Indonesias population follows Islam, and 96.4 percent of the population of Pakistan is Muslim.
