Top Ten Memories of Mom ... 10. How she couldnt pronounce the word aluminum, but shed still try and would end up laughing at herself because she knew she couldnt pronounce it. 9. How she loved going WAY out in the ocean - at least what appeared to me, as a child, to be WAY out in the ocean - to jump the waves even though she couldnt swim. 8. How she REFUSED to pay ten cents at JCPenneys to go to the bathroom at Pittman Plaza - (I think I was ten), and so she waited until ... well ... too late. We RAN to Leggetts, but it was too late. I, at ten, had to go and buy her new underwear, hose, etc. I can tell this story about her because shes dead, and theres not a thing she can do about it :) (Im sure my kids will be telling embarrassing stories about me after I die. Heck, they do it now!) 7. How Mom wrote a letter to JCPenneys corporate office telling them how ridiculous it is that you have to pay to do what you cant help having to do! 6. How happy and victorious Mom felt after JCPenneys no longer made you pay to use the toilets. 5. How she made crafts constantly!!!! She was so talented!!!! She made crocheted pins to give to the other ladies at WCHS and at church - she made Easter Bunny pins, Christmas wreath pins, pumpkins, etc. 4. Spending time with Mom, Mrs. Moore and Rochelle Moore in the summers - we used to go to the lake a lot together and to town to see movies. Always so much fun!!!!! 3. Watching Mom strip down and refinish furniture - again, SHE WAS MAJORLY TALENTED!!!!!!! (Oh, and she stripped down the furniture. She didnt strip down to no clothes. HA!) 2. Playing Scrabble and Backgammon with Mom in our family room in the basement when we knew thered be no school the next day because of snow. And Mom and I would have a sleepover in the basement. Wed have a fire going, and wed eat junk food, and wed play Scrabble and Backgammon late into the night. BEST. TIMES. EVER!!!!!! 1. When she told me she picked me out of all the baby girls in the world to be her daughter. She always made me feel special, and it started with that time. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!! Tim and I are about to get back on the grid but have had an awesome couple of days away. MUCH LOVE!!!!!!!!
