Top tip for fat loss (notice I never call it weight loss, losing fluids or lean muscle can contribute to weight loss but isnt healthy and wont support long term fat reduction), apart from loads of water, is to completely cut out sugar. Yes even fruit, honey, algave, maple syrup and the other healthy sugars. Now dont hear what Im not saying. Im not saying that everyone should cut these out, I eat them, fruit is incredibly good for you, but I dont need to lose fat. However, ALL sugar will mess with your hunger levels... They will all, to some extent, make you feel hungry quite shortly after consumption. This can be a huge issue for those who struggle with control anyway. Instead replace with good fats and proteins to beat the cravings. In fact, if you regularly eat fruit, its best to combine it with fat and proteins anyway. For example a post workout snack for me would be a banana and almond butter. Again, this is why conventional calorie counting doesnt work. Its unsustainable if based on a eat whatever you want within your points mentality.
