Topic No. 1 of 101 [My neighborhood] As a resident of Baguio City, Philippines one of the areas which is primarily considered by the city for real estate expansion is the Municipality of Tuba, Benguet, specifically lands adjacent to Marcos Highway - where my maternal family is domiciled, and where our unfinished bungalow stands. Investors and future home owners desire this area because it is just minutes away from the City of Pines and they prefer lots beside Marcos Highway for obvious reasons that the highway system directs them to the property unlike other lands in this municipality where unfinished roads and Road Right of Ways (ROW) are common problems. At present, prices of lots or house & lots in Tuba are almost the same as that of the market prices in the Baguio City Barangays. So why not buy in Baguio City instead? It’s because the land in Tuba is not as congested as that in the city, the sea breeze emanating from the West Philippine Sea is fresher and cooler, trees thrives in the area making the environment green, it has a more peaceful community due to less population and the fact that Real Property Taxes (RPT) are lesser since it is located within a municipality.
