Toronto Police Site Hit With DDoS Attack After being knocked offline Sunday via a #ddos attack, the #toronto police department today was restored. Taking responsibility for the attack was a #hacker claiming to be affiliated with Anonymous whose motive was in defense of a teenager from #ottawa who has been accused of making numerous prank 911 calls. A hacker identified as “Aerith” also managed to take over the City of Ottawa’s home page Friday and post an image of a dancing banana. Aerith boasted that he gained access to the city’s computer servers by posing as a manager to gain login information.
