Torture is categorically wrong. That means it is wrong all of the time. That means there are never any circumstances when it is acceptable. It is wrong according to international law, American law and our Constitution. It is considered so very wrong that there is no statute of limitations regarding torture. So why are we seeing and hearing American officials on TV and the radio condoning torture and admitting that they have allowed or participated in torture? These are self-admitted criminals. So why are they still free to not only walk the streets but to maintain their official positions of authority? Our shame as Americans continues as long as these criminals go unprosecuted and as long as our politicians continue to condone torture especially with our media unquestioning this criminality. .
