Totally a 1st-world, dance-world problem, but Im just curious to hear what people think. Im dancing salsa with a partner at an outdoor venue last night, occupying a reasonably well defined spot, but theres a couple next to us where the guy is dancing really big, moving fast, taking up lots of space. I back away a bit to give him a wide berth so we wont collide. He keeps moving, circles me clockwise 90 degrees, and in effect blocks me from another direction..in other words, I never know where he will pop up next. I look at him and ask Ballroom? and he says Yes, proudly. I suggest he should watch his ass. He tells me to relax, because he is looking out for me. Is that a reasonable piece of advice?
