Touching Lives 7 mins · Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt One of the great advantages of being a believer is that you have God’s GPS inside of you. It is a godly positioning system known as the “Holy Spirit.” To the Church at Corinth, Paul said these words, “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.”(I Corinthians 2:12) I have found in my own life there are two guardrails that God uses in me to keep me from going over the cliff on either side. One is the scripture and then other is the Spirit. The scripture protects us from purely “rational” decisions such as “This is what I think I ought to do.” While the Spirit protects us from purely “emotional” decisions such as “This is what I feel I ought to do”. One of the things the Spirit of God will do, if you are walking in tune with Him and living your life according to biblical principles is He will, in your heart, confer the rightness of the decision you are going to make which leads to the last tool. This is “Inner Peace”. When you are in the center of God’s will, the Bible says, “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - (Philippians 4:7) Share this with a friend.
