Touching hockey story... Me and two of my buddies went to an outdoor rink last night just to shoot around last night and when we showed up to the rink there was a little black kid in tattered winter clothes by himself on the rink trying to skate. We walked up to the rink and he put out the nets for us. We laced up and started shoot around and he was on the other side of the rink skating around. My buddy noticed that his skates were almost completely untied and asked me if we should help him out. We went over and asked him if he needed help and he gladly accepted. We got his skates tied up and his face was glowing with a smile from ear to ear. We asked him if he had a stick and he said no because he couldnt afford one. I live only about 5 minutes from the rink and I quickly hopped in my car and got a stick for him. I got back to the rink and gave him the stick and we asked him if he wanted to play with us. I didnt think his smile could have gotten any bigger. We played around for a while and when it was time to go, I picked up all the pucks and went over to the bench to take my skates off and he skated over with the stick and handed it to me. I handed it back to him and told him, Its all yours buddy. I tossed him a puck too and he just looked at me, smiled, said thanks, and continued to play hockey by himself. I have never felt so good about doing something before. I feel like we gave him the chance to really start to enjoy playing and how great of a sport hockey really is. I know its kind of long, but I had to tell somebody
