Tough day on the water today. Not one fish caught in the entire fleet. The forecast was for mild winds, which was completely wrong. Our captain Tony said it was the roughest trip of the year. It was blowing 30-35 knots plus with some serious wind gusts. The seas were chopped up with some very big peaks crashing over the gunnels. We hit one wave so hard it felt like the hull of the boat cracked in half. One of the other boats in the fleet blew out two of their pilot house windows. It is not very often that I get nervous on the water, but when that one rogue wave hit it got all of us pretty worried. Hope tomorrow lays down and offers us a shot at a fish on our final day. This video really does not show how rough the ocean really was.
