Tough going this am. Mass pike was down to 2 lanes,I had to pee, and I was proposed to by a drunk guy all before I met the team. After the weekly picture and rah rah I were off for 14 miles of misery. I expected it to suck because I was listening to the playlist of death. What I didnt anticipate was that I would feel like shit. Maybe it is because the miles got up to 18 (aka the tipping point) last week or the fact that I was in charge at work on Friday and my pre-hydration was less than ideal, but I felt more aches and pains than I have all training season. It didnt help that was running up hill both ways because of the certified crap I was listening to. I was impressed with the gamesmanship all participant brought to the playlist of death. Some took the approach to pick what they know I hate. Some picked songs that are overplayed as they know that I a tend to stay away from the popular. Some picked music that their pre-teen and/or toddler would listen to. Well done everyone. Dave Currans live version of week didnt start the fire, Lars Samoskas Iron and Wine made me want to run head on into the traffic, and during Larry Dohertys Ass Man I came to the realization that I myself am an Ass man. Lowest-lights from the playlist of death- Lisa Rudzinsky Keelers one, two punch of One Direction and Taylor Swift. I felt that everyone around me knew what I was listening to and as I got a few funny looks. Nikki True - this duck sauce thing was anger inducing. By far the shrewdest players among the crap-tastic DJs was Kelly and Andrew Galante who brought unlistenable to whole new level with something you have to hear to believe.
