Tour of Poyang Lake Stage 2 - Shaun Baxter Todays stage 2 was 101km around a 14km circuit with pouring rain, mud and wind. The racing was on from the outset with our boys and other teams attacking constantly for the majority of the race. Many crashes and mishaps were taking place throughout the stage though the Wormall Nicheliving Cycling Team were constantly riding within the top 40 riders trying to keep out of trouble. Brad and Dane attacked the bunch with two laps remaining with two Chinese riders but were caught with 5kms to go as the bunch readied for what would be a hectic. With 3kms remaining an opportunistic move of three snuck off the front and stole a march with no teams willing to peg it back with so long to the line. Craig saw the danger and nailed himself to try and beg back the group to set it up for the rest of the boys. With 1km remaining Craig was still driving the front and the break was now within closing distance. As the sprint began to open up the 3 man group would contest the stage about 20m ahead. Nick and Shaun finished 10th and 16th respectively in what was a chaotic final.
