Tourism sector observers in Togo have welcomed a move by the government to kick out Europes largest hotel chain Accor. Recently the government ordered the hotel operator to cease operations in Togo immediately or face fines of more than U.S $1 million per day. The dispute between the European company and Togos government arose over the renewal of its rental agreement for the beachside Sarakawa Hotel in the capital Lome
