Tourists! Why do you insist on referring to bar-hopping in Iceland as going on the rúntur? Who told you this was the correct terminology? Who has been spreading these foul lies? FYI the rúntur refers to driving your car in circles around town. Bar-hopping is generally known as pöbbarölt (a pub stroll). Casually calling bar-hopping the rúntur is tantamount to referring to binge eating as going on that customary stroll through meat-and-cheese-land, with remoulade (so sorry if youre not a tourist, but feel singled out in the above status. Or if youre a self-admitted tourist that has never used the phrase rúntur. We know you are a very smart, likeable, wonderful person. Dont be sad).
