Toward the end of last week I headed out for my circle of errands - TopicsExpress

Toward the end of last week I headed out for my circle of errands - and finding 78 east seriously blocked - turned around to do the westerly errands. Since the errands took all of 2 minutes I decided to have a peaceful coffee and breakfast at a local restaurant before trying to make my way back on 78. So I sat there with my book and my brekkie until the people at the table behind me began talking. Or ranting. It seems they hate everyone from Obama, republicans, people working and people who arent working, doctors, teachers, people worshipping at various religions and eventually they got around to home school families. (Home school families?????????) So much anger. At that point I conducted my own peaceful demonstration against hate by asking to be seated elsewhere and explaining why. To my surprise the conversation behind me actually stopped - I hope they got the point but for all I know chubby women with new perms were probably added to their list. But it hurt to hear all of that hatred and anger , it was exhausting and I let it bother me for a bit. But life (or my guardian angel) also gives us opportunities to see the positive - and I was rewarded with examples of goodness, wonder and peace all weekend. So THANK YOU - family, friends, workshop partners, fellow volunteers (300th, shelter,4-H and Howell) for reminding me of the goodness that really does prevail in our world!
