Traceys appealamd its for a Tomosynthesis machine that detects breast cancer in woman with a 25% higher rate that conventional screening So What is that all about........Well about 15 months ago I received a text from a very good friend with the devastating news she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I can say that thanks to the team at Royal Surrey and the care and treatment she has since been given the all clear. So as a thank you to RSH and in honour of my friend we are going to attempt to organise a 70s/80s night. This is still in its infancy but we are aiming for early to mid May. There is more work to be done at this stage before I can confirm details but obviously we will be looking for people to come along to the event. We will also be looking for raffle prizes to be donated so it might be that you have contacts who could be approached for raffle prizes. My friend and I and 4 others have a passion to make this work. The appeal is trying to raise £500,000 but if the machine saves more ladies then no price can be put on that. Some of the target money will be used to further research. I will update you soon when we have more details but when I say it is still in infancy this was all of the back of any idea on Tuesday evening.
