Tracy Collins mantra for years has been If youre bored in Jacksonville, its your own fault. Meanwhile, my internal voice often says, If you tell me theres nothing going on in Jax, I want to punch you in the face. Fortunately, Im a nonviolent person, so Ive never acted on this impulse. Here are 12 events from this Weekend of Awesome, including a football game. What did I leave out? 1. Loca MOCAlacas: Get your Halloween on early with food from Café Nola, craft beer from Intuition Ale Works, admission to Get Real: New American Painting, Day of the Dead dance performances by FSCJ Dance Repertory Company and screenings of Day of the Dead, the 1957 short, at MOCA Jacksonville. $30 includes five tickets for beer, food, gallery admission. 7-10 tonight. 2. Armada FC and Void Magazine Downtown Takeover: Armada Jersey Release, food trucks, beer, ultimate soccer fan experience and much more.
