Traditions and Fond Memories : Some of my dearest memories of Christmas are reflecting on my heart today , as I watch my husband sit in the rain and make our bbq it reminds me of his dad Harold ( rain or sunshine he cooked on that pit every year ) and my dad Marvin they are both in heaven watching and smiling seeing the tradition of a shoulder turned into bbq for Christmas dinners , also I made my dads famous bbq sauce everyone that has shared it over the years love it ! My dads last Christmas he shared his secret recipe with me and I still have the bottles he used for the ingredents as he just poured all of it together I made him pour the things back into the bottle so I could mark just how much to use so every year I remark that bottle ! i use it every year to duplicate his sauce of perfection ! The slaw is my dads recipe too and delicious ! Even though things did not work out for Mark to get his large bbq pit which was his dads wish its ok now its the love Harold had for us that truely matters and we love him as much he loves us ...
