Traffic Advisory For International Friendly Soccer Match Japan Vs Brazil At The National Stadium, Singapore Sports Hub #sgtrafficwatch An international friendly soccer game between Japan and Brazil will be held at the National Stadium, Singapore Sports Hub, on Tuesday, 14 October 2014 between 6.45pm to 8.30pm. Traffic in the vicinity of Singapore Sports Hub including Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Road are expected to be heavy between 5 pm to 11 pm. Congestion is expected due to the high volume of visitors. Members of public are advised to come early at about 5pm when the gates are opened. They also advised to be patient and to follow the road signages and directions provided by Auxiliary Police Officers and Traffic Marshals. Motorists are advised to plan their route early and avoid these areas. Only motorists who have purchased the pre-sold parking tickets will be allowed to park at carparks within the Singapore Sports Hub. Members of public are strongly encouraged to take public transport. As Stadium MRT station is likely to attract more passengers, a longer waiting time is expected. Passengers are encouraged to use Kallang and Mountbatten MRT stations which are the next nearest stations available. Bus Service 11 will be diverted to skip Stadium Boulevard and Stadium Crescent from 8.30 p.m. to 11pm on 14 October 2014. Alternative bus services are available along Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Road. Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced.
