Tragic day in France as black hooded religious extremists storm a magazine and execute cartoonists for images drawn of Mohammed published back in 2011. The magazine, Charlie Hebdo, has been around since the days of Marie Antoinette, when they were openly critical of her. The current editor has lived with death threats from Islamic extremists for quite some time. It reminds me of the Boston Marathon bombers, as the entire French nation is gripped, as the US was, in the manhunt for the murderers of such a senseless crime. Intolerance does not set us free. It imprisions us. Typically, the use of violence strengthens the resolve of those you intended to silence, persecute or punish. The world cannot be cowered into following the tennants and rules of a religion. Religion is a private, personal, spiritual journey to discover your truth, and the moment it is evangelized as the solution for everyone, and public knowledge, it is no longer protected from scrutiny, **especially** when a religion feels they are doing gods work. This Gods Work is impossible to prove. Whether slut shaming people using reproductive care at planned parenthood, or shooting up an office full of authors and artists in France. If that is truly gods will,... God, Allah, and Mohammed need to be brought up on murder charges. After all, those are their laws in ours. Human violence stems from a lack of meaningful education, an absense of the mental capability to reason. If you bested someone by mocking them, or were able to defeat a flawed world view, and those opponents lack the capability to meet you on the battlefront of ideas, they will seek the dullards way to even the score for your percieved damages... At the end of a weapon, wearing a mask. I fear no man. Even the stupid ones out to kill us.
