Tragic....truly tragic....As if our neighborhood needed a new twist on tragedy. So it goes...... this poor geezer must have been pretty isolated to ultimately feel this was his only option. A Second World War Veteran. Folks ... look out for you elderly neighbors. Check in with them. We are all headed that way in the end. Treat folks the way you might want to be treated down the road. It is easy for the elderly to get caught in a rut. Their world can shrink down to the size of their domicile. The anti-dote is the existence of any kind of social life. There is even a significant pay-off! Old folks are oftentimes (wait for it) ......quite wise. Who would have thunk? ... AND .... Such wisdom is their for the gleaner who makes their world a little less meaner.
