Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies- “Come Hell or High - TopicsExpress

Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies- “Come Hell or High Water!” - - President, Calgary Stampede Dear Members of TRCR, We have been getting a lot of inquiries on whether the 2013 Ride Season and the Stampede Breakfast is still happening. To borrow a well-used phrase from the Calgary Stampede, Yes, Come Hell or High Water. A crew of 10 volunteers left this morning from Kananaskis Country into the Bryant Creek/Mt. Assiniboine area to set up our Teepee Town Camp for the 2013 Season. While we had hoped to do it during the past two weeks, the flooding in Calgary and Canmore delayed our efforts. It takes three days to set up the camp. We fly the camp in by helicopter and the work crew assemble it. For those going on Ride #1 we should be ready to go. For riders on ride # 1 and all other members in Calgary and surrounding area, you are also invited to join TRCR for a fantastic Stampede Breakfast. At no cost, you will receive a full hot breakfast of sausage, pancakes and homemade beans. We have an amazing country and folk band that will entertain us for the morning. Members of the Board of TRCR will be on hand to serve hot from the grill. We have seen and heard amazing stories of heroism, volunteerism and courage during the past several weeks. Even Swans Pub was affected during this time since the power had been shut off for a period of time. Come join us for breakfast and show your support for Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies and the Calgary Stampede. Details Date: Saturday, July 6, 2013 Where: Swans Pub, 1336, 9 Ave SE, Calgary When: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Why: To show your support Cost: Free Sincerely, Board of Directors, TRCR
