Training Highlights OCS Class 06-14 (By Class Officers LT Morrison and LT Montoya) The third week of training proved to be a grueling week for Class 06-14. After the long weekend, candidates began the academic course of Sea Power where they are immersed in naval history from the Revolutionary War to modern times. When not in the classroom, students were drilling with rifles and preparing for RLP. The Room, Locker, and Personnel inspection was the first graded inspection and candidates are tested on their ability to execute written orders and their ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. Candidates are asked myriad questions of military knowledge while Drill Instructors and Recruit Division Commanders inspect every aspect of uniforms and rooms. Both companies scored very well, but HOTEL company edged out GOLF with scores of 87.03% and 84.73% respectively, earning HOTEL company the coveted RLP streamer. This class is proud to have accomplished everything this week and looks forward to the next steps toward becoming naval Officers.
