To source, develop and implement cost effective and innovative training and development initiatives which embrace Company values and support talents to achieve both their work and personal goals. To source, develop and implement cost effective and innovative training and development initiatives which embrace Company values and support talents to achieve both their work and personal goals. Training Overall Liaising with HR team, develop an effective annual training plan which meets the needs of talents as outlined in PMP, Talent Review, Career Development Plan and which assists Company to achieve its goals and objectives. Publish an annual and monthly calendar of training courses and ensure maximum attendance through clear communication to and liaison with Department Heads on a regular basis. Develop, source and conduct training courses scheduled in the training calendar, tailoring courses where appropriate to meet requirements of Company. Coordinate the training activities of departmental trainers to ensure their full involvement in both developing and conducting training. Ensure effective roll-out of new Company initiatives through provision of effective training support and coaching of HOD’s and talents. Maintain accurate and up to date records of all training activities and provide management information regarding training needs to key department heads. Ensure all requests for training by talents are responded to in a timely manner and follow up is conducted where appropriate. Monitor the effectiveness of pre- and post course briefings to ensure maximum benefit from training courses and identify future training needs. Ensure that all new talents attend the hotel orientation program and deliver it. Conduct training needs analysis of the hotel and departments. Identify the potential training needs and action where required. Establish a training library of books, DVDs, journals and resources to assist trainer and talent development. Source and obtain specialist assistance to conduct training when needed. Monitor all training activities conducted on and off site Evaluate training effectiveness by attending as many training sessions as possible Maintain an up to date record of suppliers of training resources Update training notice board with all information on “what is happening in and outside hotel” and training information. Keep training records of each individual talent Monitor training room condition Assist all departmental trainers if necessary with their training. Ensure all talents are informed of their training schedule. Prepare training materials. Departmental Training Liaise with Department Heads on a regular basis regarding specific training requirements within their departments and regarding attendance at planned training courses and develop training actions as required. Monitor department training and in conjunction with Department Heads on job training that meet departmental operating objectives (dept induction, dept trainers, dept processes) and ensure consistency and quality of training Finance With support of Director of HR, structure and monitor Company’s annual training budget and ensure all training expenses are kept in line with this budget, adjusting planned expenses / actions in line with changing hotel requirements. Purchase training materials as required Implement methods for evaluating cost-effectiveness of training programs. Talent Development Provide an advice service to both managers and talents on training opportunities, career choices, qualifications and other HR issues. Assist Director of HR to complete annual Continuity Plan and seek opportunities to support talents in their career goals with Company or other agreed direction. In conjunction with talent coach, create effective development plans for talents, identifying key training requirements and cross training objectives Assist on Mid-Track program Manage the administration of trainees and apprentices. General / Communication In conjunction with HR team, develop and maintain an effective performance management program in line with Company policy, providing regular training for managers and ensuring appraisals are completed on regular basis. Communicate relevant training information to Management team on a regular basis. Attend and play an active part in Dept Head, HR and other designated meetings. Develop effective links with partnership organisations such as Universities and Colleges, Training Providers, other Training Managers, etc. Lead the process of further education sponsorship, maintain record of participants on the Education Sponsorship program, ensuring contracts are issued to all participants. Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and talents alike Assist on reward and certification programs Ensure a high level of cleanness to maintain in work area. Demonstrate professional attitude and behaviour at all times Prepare and maintain files, reports, letters, memos and other relevant business documentation Ensure all reporting deadlines are met in a timely basis Email CV to paulinetan@staffingnetwk
