Training at 50 and Beyond: The importance of diet. Through my decade of the 50s, I was training more than ever, strength training, biking, racquetball, running, backpacking, skiing. Common knowledge if your training hard, youll lose weight or at least stay even. Wrong. From 50-60, I gained 30#. Liberty suggested that we get some help, because we were training hard, but going nowhere. She hooked us up with Dr. Bobby Scales MD, and a competitive body builder. Meeting with Dr. Bob, learning about the importance of diet was our game changer. So at 73, Im 30# lighter, and stronger. The importance of diet.
