TransAlta is working closely with the Alberta Energy System Operator (AESO) on the status of our units. One unit can’t ensure system reliability – it is in fact affected by a number of things including; transmission, generation, demand and ability to import energy. We are working very hard to produce power for Albertans during the high temperatures the province is currently experiencing. We continue to closely monitoring the condition of all units across our generating fleet in Alberta to help maintain reliability.
