Transcendence is freakin terrible and I recommend not watching it. Its a movie about the Singularity written by someone whos had a second-hand explanation of a few of the major concepts but who has decided to go for the Hollywood effect instead of, you know, depicting actual physical reality. Best (worst) bit: The computer is taking over the world with nano-machines! Luckily I helped write its source code several years ago when it was running on standard big iron and Im sure that the self-modifying AI has not modified itself in ANY WAY now that it is is literally millions of times more powerful and running on a square mile of nanotechnology-built quantum computers, so I can make a computer virus that will kill it! Good! It wants to upload my consciousness so you can inject the computer virus into me with a syringe and when it uploads my consciousness, killing me, the virus will infect it! SOUND PLAN LETS DO IT
