Transcript of Chairman Imran Khans Press Conference from Jeddah 1- For a truly functioning democracy, three factors are essential. Free and fair elections, independent judiciary, and free media. 2- KPK, the smallest province, has a refugee crisis on its hands;there are 1.5 million Afghan refugees,2 million IDPs from tribal areas. 3- That is 3 million refugees in smallest province.Hats off to the ppl of kpk for accommodating them,giving them space in homes. 4- The money that comes from war on terror goes straight to fed government.All the responsibility on KPK provincial government. 5- The provincial govt is getting no extra funding from federal government under whose jurisdiction the IDPs fall. 6- Expats send in so much money for Pakistan; they are one of our biggest assets which our govt does not put proper focus on. 7- The quality of Sharifs & Zardaris is such that in past 25 years their assets have increased whereas the country gets poorer. 8- They are not real democrats. What these families have done to Pakistan; since PTI has come they have joined hands in fear. 9- They do not let rigging or corruption be investigated. They joined hands and appointed their own NAB heads. 10- The Sharifs and Zardaris all their assets are abroad; they do not stand accountable for anything. 11- Instead of political govt taking charge of war on terror & using army as part of strategy,they have handed it all to army. 12- A depleted judiciary has resulted in the political leadership handing over the courts to military courts for terrorism. 13- PTI wanted a strengthening of the army act in the constitution but we did not want to in any way stand in the way of the govt. 14- When the dharna was on they blamed everything on it.Fuel surcharges are back on & this is because there is no real opposition. 15- It is sad to say but our relations with the global community are deteriorating. Our embassies abroad do not facilitate our ppl. 16- We have Pakistanis languishing in jails abroad.The way many have been treated post WOT,books can be written on the topic. 17- Its the job of our government to take care of expat communities and their needs abroad via our embassies. 18- As far as Senate elections are concerned;we believe there were heavily rigged elections; in Baluchistan, Sindh, and Punjab. 19- Whoever claims rigging in kpk, we have said it before and we will say it again we are ready to open any constituency any day/ 20- We will take part in the KPK senate elections; it is our right.In other provinces, no question of going back till empowered JC investigates. 21- The Sindh assembly has accepted our resignations,there is no question of going back till judicial commission not made & result not seen. 22- As for the upcoming World Cup I can not comment much as I have not seen much cricket over the past few months due to the dharna. 23- But I will begin commenting once the World Cup tournament commences next month.
