Travel Carter, Elliott, and Morgan Counties as autumn come to Eastern Kentucky on FEAT’s tour called Quilts, Antiques, and Storytelling, which will take place on October 10 and 11, 2013. The bus tour, which will launch at Quilt Heaven in Carter County on Thursday, October 10, will include lunch at Melinni Cusina, and visits to Grayson Art Gallery, Antiques and Uniques, Chicken Coop, Garden Gate Greenhouse, and finish the day with dinner and entertainment at Rock Springs Winery. Those who need lodging will stay at Little Sandy Lodge in Elliott County. Friday, October 11, will begin with breakfast, a quilt expo, and Keith Whitley Exhibit at Laurel gorge Cultural Heritage Center in Elliott County. The bus will proceed to Morgan County with a visit to Caney Valley General Store and Antiques, lunch at the Lemon Tree, and a stop at Red Rooster Antiques, a building on Main Street restored from the devastation of the 2012 tornado. The afternoon will finish with a performance by the Menifee County Community Theater as they present Mountain Memories. These are the basics of two days that will further include local artisans from Carter, Elliott, Morgan, Menifee, and Wolfe Counties; stops along the Kentucky Quilt Trail; local entertainment; and storytelling. Prizes will also be awarded at various stops. The price is $150 without hotel, $175 for double occupancy hotel, or $85 for one day of the tour.
