Travel on a Shoestring – Blackpool This report describes options for visitors to Blackpool on a limited budget. Getting Around Saving money on transport does not mean you have to walk everywhere, though Blackpool has many fun places you can visit on foot. An inexpensive means of travel is the bus and tram system. Eating and Drinking When you are choosing a place to eat out, pick up one of the local tourist magazines, which often contain vouchers and special offers. Cafés and pubs are less expensive than restaurants but offer full meals. The Tuck In Café and the Rose & Crown are popular and cheap. Accommodation Blackpool offers many family-run bed and breakfasts and guesthouses if you are trying to economize. The prices include a full breakfast. Places of Interest Going to the beach is free and lots of fun. We also recommend Blackpool Sealife Centre. The Pleasure Beach amusement park is great but be warned – it’s easy to spend a lot of money on the rides. Conclusion Blackpool has plenty to offer everyone, and its easy to economize whilst youre there if youre careful.
