#TravelTalesTuesday #DavidBelle #Parcour Richmond Kentucky, Circa 2011 The girls were getting into parcour... So I did too, why not? I was getting pretty good at some of that stuff, Its a lot like gymnastics But with an Oh shit bag kind of feel. One day I was showing off Some slick moves to my Mexican friends... I ran through the living room, Midway, I launched myself head first into the hallway, I grabbed the chin-up bar on my way through the bedroom door, then swung my body through the doorway. (With the intention of landing, Before hitting the bedroom wall, On my feet.) Instead, As my body swung through the doorway, (And as I was perfectly perpendicular to the cement floor,) The chin-up bar let go the doorway. I remember thinking this was not going to be so impressive. The next thing I remembered, I was floating... I looked down at the ground, And saw my hands folded Around my waste... Except my hands were brown. I thought it was odd I could float, But why do I have brown hands? As the fog cleared, I realized one of my friends Was holding me up... His brown hands wrapped around me from behind. He said, You are not good at this parcour. I guess I was only out a minute or two, Long enough to get picked up From the floor.
