Traveling to Issels Clinic for follow up care after 8 1/2 days at home. Im sick to death (apt expression, lol) of my whole world revolving around beating cancer, so this time weve smuggled Papa Echo, Big V and Mr. Soda along for after hours therapy (code names for 3 Hicks chicks)! Hope there is beach time ahead.... Fortunately we were home for several quiet evenings with Kate; birthdays of grands Kennedy and Emery, and sister Joy; lunch out twice with my Mom; time at our own Appleton Church on Sunday; and helping the Wolfe cubs get ready for first day of school this past Monday. Missed them all so much; tried to squeeze in kid time as much as possible. Six of those days included as many treatments/therapies as possible, and Sunday evening I experienced the Coleys vaccine with the help of St. Jennifier Nichols Nichols, who administered the shot! and unleashed a polar earthquake in my body that became a raging inferno and ended in a flash flood followed by a tranquil nights sleep after1:30 AM. (Fever: good, Cancer: bad!). That fun I get to have 14 more times before Christmas! I can outlive that! And hopefully, the cancer does not. In keeping with the weather theme here, it has been a whirlwind lately! Saying all that to also explain that with mundane things like laundry and field irrigation and various repairs to the house, I have not had time to respond to many of you who wish me well and are praying and caring. As my tech equipment is still not reliable, still I hope to be able to return calls &msgs over the weekend. God is still very good to me!
