***Travelling to attend a friends wedding last week meant I wasnt able to train for a full 7 days. Taking a week off training can leave you feeling deflated, fidgety and small. Thats the short term view! CHOOSING to structure in a Rest Week, as opposed to being FORCED to take time off through fatigue/injury/excessive over-training, is one of the smartest things you can do. Once youve got into the habit of taking a week off by CHOICE every 10-14 weeks and see the benefits youll know its the right thing to do. Not only does it allow your body time to heal, but your level of enthusiasm will surge once youve given yourself time to miss the gym. If youve not had a week off in the last 4 months and have found your strength has plateaued, that your joints are creaking and that youre wondering what else you can do to stimulate results- try simply taking a week of rest. Spend some time reading about nutrition and training and youll have more knowledge to apply when you return to training, win/win! REST- the most underutilised training weapon! >Luke Rose is the first to take on Legs and Lungs with a very competent 47seconds, bodyweight 100kg. Theres 3 cats this month- O95kg, U95kg and female. What can you do? >Free Friend Friday is here- bring a friend or family member down to Progress, for their first session today, for FREE!
