Travis Scott asked Danes & Empathy........ Harley is about 9 1/2 yo. He was about 12wo when we got him. Prior to having Harley we had a Dalmatian, Ely who we lost when he was 14yo. Ely was allowed on the couch and beds. When we got Harley we were trying to keep him off of them, primarily because they were new. Knowing what I know about Danes now, it is amazing we were ever able to keep him off! I have been plagued with massive chronic headaches for 25 years. Often during a bad round of headaches I would come home from work and fall into bed. Once, when Harley was about 1yo during a really bad series of headaches while I was laying down Harley came to the bed, laid his head on the bed for a bit, then ever so gently climbed in and snuggled next to me. Still, to this day when I have a really bad headache episode he is right next to me, and it is not confined to headaches. I sew quite a bit, mostly kites and other things related to kites. Without fail, when I come onto a problem or frustration like having to rip a seam out Harley is sitting right next to me with his nose under my arm demanding attention...... to the point that he will NOT let me work on it for quite some time. Does anyone else have a Dane with this level of perception or empathy?
