Tread Lightly Upon the Ground Those who care not to make a sound tread lightly upon the ground. Walking the path our Fathers paved he gathers trinkets of wisdom skillfully played. When my mind churned out nonsensical decrees you were there granting the voice of reason to me. You were always potently self-aware and yet sometimes I could not follow you there. When I was lost you made sure I was found even when my journey had me trembling and scared. I stood there frozen in one place upon the ground and if I traveled the wrong way you turned me around. My stubbornness sometimes blocked my path I thought everything was to be done on my own rejecting your help despite what you had known. Now that I have become a mature young man I credit you with kindness I have on hand I traverse life with your legacy. You instilled within me the charge of dealing out charity and compassion in your life more than money. A soul never idle ready to see you were always the voice of stability. Never shirking requests for love and sharing, exemplifying extraordinary care. Carrying the weight of the world upon your shoulders knowing that one day I would hold the very same boulder when it became too much for you to bear. By Aaron Zev
