Treasury predicted that the asset sale program would increase the Governments budget deficit by $180m over 5 years. But it hasnt gone well and weve now calculated that the sale of Mighty River Power, Meridian and Air NZ increases the governments budget deficit by $649m over five years. If Genesis is sold as well, the impact on the deficit will increase to $771 over five years....this is what happens when a trader is working against your best interest
