Trey Gowdy: What did you mean when you said it was a very basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter? Jonathan Gruber: Its another example of my inexcusable arrogance in trying to insult others to make myself seem smarter. No Mr. Gruber. Your inexcusable arrogance was in assuming that you could use mathematical modelling and central planning to try and predict something that should be left to the free market. Your inexcusable arrogance is in supporting a mandate that uses the law to coerce people to act against their will and violates our basic freedoms to make our own decisions regarding how best to meet the health care needs of ourselves and our families. Shame on you and the entire Obama administration.
