Shocking news that was reported a few days ago is : following the torching of as many as 1000 homes of the Sengwe (one of Africas LAST hunter-gatherer tribes) tens of thousands more are set to be evicted from their ancestral land in Kenyas Cherangany Hills. The government claims it is protecting the forest, but the Sengwer have looked after Embobut forest for centuries. The Kenyan government is forcing us into extinction,’ one Sengwer said.
