Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus, Ilam Admissions open for 4 yrs (semester system) B.Sc in Horticulture and Floriculture Management This is to notify all the interested students that under the Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus, Ilam. B.Sc Horticulture and Floriculture Management course was started in the academic year 2069. Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus (MRMC) Ilam, the first autonomous campus of Tribhuvan University; by taking the advent of autonomy, has initiated this new curriculum of Bachelors of Science in Horticulture and Floriculture Management (B. Sc. in HFM) approved by the academic council Tribhuvan University. The purpose of this program is to offer students the opportunity to prepare themselves for a wide variety of careers, entrepreneurship, exploratory enterprises or continue education in the related field by developing both their technical and interpersonal skills. This program is introduced with the conviction that it will contribute by large to the development and promotion of the economy of Nepal and the adjoining regions. In addition, this program focuses on the assess, effectiveness and efficiency of management practices in the related field. The curriculum is spread over duration of 4 years comprising 8 semesters, 155 credits, 50 courses carrying a total weightage of 3100 marks. One credit in theory equals to 15 teaching hours, doubled by the practical. The first six semesters comprise seven courses each; the seventh six courses and the eighth one course. Eligibility: The candidates who have passed in second division I.Sc. Or 10+2 (science) and certificate level of Forestry, ie. I.Sc forestry, I.Sc agriculture from Tribhuvan University or an institute recognized by this university shall be considered eligible to apply for admission to B.Sc in Horticulture and Floriculture Management. Students are selected based on their merit in the entrance examination.
