Triclosan is found in many products we use everyday feom toothpastes, deodorants cosmetics and antibacterial handsoaps etc. There are concerns over its effects on human health, there is concern it is an endocrine (hormone) disruptor and that it creates antibiotoc resistant bacteria. There are also concerns about its effect on the enviroment and marine health. It is also bioaccummulative meaning that it builds up in the environment and the bodies of people and animals and doesnt breakdown easily. This is one of the many chemicals found in everyday products which have not been tested for their impact on human health yet it is avaliable for us to buy.
