Tried to install my switchbacks in my 04 gtp today in the front, - TopicsExpress

Tried to install my switchbacks in my 04 gtp today in the front, with the load resistors. Passenger side i got working by splicing one side of the load resistor to the red wire going into the blinker, and the other side of the load resistor to the black wire going to the fog light (on the back of the blinker socket, the black wire on the inside, not towards the end). I tried splicing it to the gray wire first, but the bulb wouldnt blink, it would just stay steady. On the driver side, i tried replicating the passenger side (red wire and inside black wire) but it still hyperflashes. The load resistor is warming up, so i know it is good. I tried taking the end off of the black wire, and grounding it directly, still hyperflash. Tried splicing it into each of the other wires, still hyperflash. When i tough it to the gray wire, it just stays steady, like the other side did. Any advice? Am i doing something wrong here?
